With over 40 years of nursing experience, working with a broad range of health care entities, I have witnessed an increasing need for patients and their families to have assistance with understanding the medical system. Frequently a patient may see multiple healthcare providers, undergo numerous diagnostic procedures and treatments as well as have multiple medications prescribed. As a Nurse Healthcare Advocate, I am able to accompany you and your loved one to medical appointments to enable better understanding of the information being given as well as assisting with communication and cooperation between various healthcare providers. I am able to review and explain test results and healthcare choices in a language that you can understand and provide you the information needed to enable you to make the best care choice for YOU
