About The Speaker –

Mitzie Watson Owner, RN, Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)

Mitzie has more than 30 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with most of her career primarily in maternal child health. Several years ago, she redirected her career to care for her mother who was diagnosed with cognitive impairment. After ten years as her caregiver, she lost her mother to Alzheimer’s. She has given back to others by serving as a community educator through the Alzheimer’s Association, as well as a community educator for Dementia Live. Mitzie has been the owner of Assisted Living Locators West Dallas and Mid-Cities for the last seven years, which is part of the nationwide Assisted Living Locators franchise. She provides hands-on assistance for families, social workers, and case managers searching for the best senior living options for seniors who need a higher level of care. She is a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA®), Certified in Dementia Care (CDC®), is a Certified Placement and Referral Specialist (CPRS), and serves as secretary on the board of the National Placement and Referral Alliance.
