I was in the nursing program in 1982 when my honeymoon baby arrived. I used my education and training in Sales and Marketing positions in every corner of the HealthCare industry. When my parents began to have health issues I served as their Advocate without realizing my unofficial role. I realized the 30 years I spent in the HealthCare industry was the perfect training for a Patient Advocate career. I have had my Advocacy practice for 7 years and feel very fortunate to wake up every day and do what I love. The primary focus of my practice is the Senior population. Our Seniors are extremely vulnerable and often have family members that live out of state. I am typically contacted by Adult Children out of state in need of assistance for their aging parents. My clients are often in a hospital or Skilled Nursing facility and need assistance with the discharge process. Other clients need assistance with care management and oversight with their physician appointments and follow-up post-appointments.
