As an independent healthcare advocate, I assist clients in navigating the healthcare system to obtain accurate diagnoses, identify appropriate treatment options, and make informed decisions about their care. While many advocates provide similar services, my unique experience as an implant specialist sets me apart.

As an implant specialist, I have trained a diverse range of surgeons in the use of advanced devices, implants, and surgical procedures in the operating room. While my primary focus has been spine, hip, knee, and laparoscopic/robotic oncology surgery, my extensive experience in the operating room has made it easier to identify areas where I have not worked, such as ophthalmology.

It was my own eye surgery that led me to recognize that, at some point, everyone could benefit from working with an advocate.

Prior to working with my clients, they’ve experienced confusion, frustration, and fear. Many feel that they have exhausted their options and lack guidance. However, after working with me, my clients gain a comprehensive understanding of their medical situation. They typically receive improved care, receive more accurate diagnoses, and better treatments. Consequently, they are safer, happier, and more relaxed.

To ensure a broad perspective of opinions and expertise, I collaborate with advocates from various specialties. My network allows me to access specialized knowledge and insights from different areas of the healthcare field. For efficiency of time and cost, I typically work remotely, attending doctor’s meetings virtually with clients. However, I also attend these appointments in person when necessary.

My clientele includes solo agers, retired physicians, individuals residing far from their families who require exceptional local support, and professional athletes who have extensive medical systems supporting them but still seek my assistance in making optimal decisions. Additionally, I have a multi-year contract with the UC Davis Graduate School Association to provide support to all graduate students with any and all medical concerns, issues, and care navigation needs.

Let’s talk so we can discuss how I might be able to help you or your loved ones.
